Essenciamal — A Chess Set Shaped by Essence and Minimalism

This chess set began as a quiet idea I carried with me for a long, long time—an image that kept returning, asking to be shaped. From the very beginning, the vision was guided by Minimalism: nothing superfluous, nothing ornamental, only the distilled essence of form.

The figures had to be genuinely good to play. Tactile clarity, intuitive geometry, and a balanced presence were essential. At the same time, they needed to reflect the visual language of my broader work—reduced, precise, and unmistakably rooted in my own artistic essence.

To reinforce this clarity, each figure is supported by discreet magnets, giving them a grounded, confident stance on the board. The result is Essencimal: a chess set where long‑held vision, functional elegance, and the pursuit of pure essence converge into a minimal yet expressive object.
